USHER

Usher (Entertainer) Real name Usher Raymond IV, born October 14 1978 his origin Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Usher is an Entertainer knows to us through his music, in the catalogues R&B, POP, DANCE and HIP HOP. Beside those he also is a singer, dancer and actor.

The parents of Usher Raymond; Usher Raymond III and Jonetta Patton.
Jonetta Patton is also Usher’s manager. At the age of thirteen: Usher performed on a television show called star search, which is a talent show. When he performed on the show Usher was spotted by an A&R (artist and repertoire) representative from La face Records. Usher had an audition with L.A Reid, a contract with the company soon followed up. In 1993 usher recorded a song for the soundtrack for the John Singleton film, Poetic Justice starring Tupac Shakur and Janet Jackson.

On August 30, 1994, La face released Usher’s self-titled debut album called Usher. This album sold approximately 50,000 copies in America and 100,000 aboard.
Usher was criticized for singing adult theme’s, which was coming from a sixteen-year-old singer.

Usher’s second album, was released on September 16, 1997 titled My Way. Around this time Usher developed a friendship with producer Jermaine Durpi. My way was a successful album; which certified 6x platinum in the United States. Usher also received his first Grammy Award; Usher also won nominations for best R&B vocal performance for “ You Make Me Wanna”.

Usher has also done some debut acting roles. He has appeared in UPN Television series Moesha starring Brandy Norwood also know as Brandy the R&B singer she is very successful. Usher got his very first leading role in 1998 film the faculty.

Since after the success of his albums and movie career, Usher continued with his music career, he continued to work on new material. Usher’s third album titled 8701 which was originally titled “All About Us” was released 2000 but then the album had been revised to the name 8701 that’s states the years of his successful career also the album was released August 7th 2001 which links with 8701.
8701 was certified 4x platinum which also sold more then eight million copies worldwide.

February 2002 Usher won a Grammy for best R&B vocal performance for his song “U Remind Me” taken from that album.




The album titled confessions is Usher’s fifth album, which was released on March 2004. Usher received numerous awards. MTV Awards for “Best Male R&B Artist” also three music Awards, two Source magazine Hip-Hop Music awards. In his titled of awards it includes Best R&B performance for song “My Boo” with Alicia Keys. Usher is also credited for Rap/Sung collaboration for “yeah” and contemporary R&B album for confessions.




Spring 2005, Usher was feature vocalist on Producer and artist Lil John’s song “Lovers & Friends”

November 2005, Usher starred in a film called “IN THE MIX” were Usher paly's a Disc Jockey (DJ) named Darrell.

Usher also took over the role as Billy Flynn in the long running Broadway musical Chicago; which took place August 22, 2006.

Usher is also back in the studio working on his next album which has not been titled...but rumours were said that the new album is called “ The untold Story” which has not been confirmed yet.

Art & Design

"I’ve been interested in Art & Design from a very young age. I started drawing from the age of seven but was not brainstorming to improve on my drawing skills and ideas. I started getting more interested in art as well as drawing when I noticed detailed designs from cartoons shows also films then from more cartoons to deeper animation. I've told myself that I would progress on my skills and ideas to get myself onto a better level of showing my work."
